I have been dreaming about having a 3D Printer at home for many years, but the ones with good quality are not affordable and the low costs just deliver poor quality. Sounds crazy but I decided to build a high resolution 3D Printer by myself at home (people actually said that I was crazy and this was impossible). The funny thing I never saw this type of machines in real life, and still haven’t seen one besides the one I built.
Now that I succeed building the first prototype, the target is to bring this low cost 3D Printer to every home, so we are developing the first affordable one with high resolution.

ReplyDeleteGreat looking kit, really clean Design. I currently have a Makerbot Replicator 2 and it's best setting isn't going to be as god as a stereolithography machine like this one. My question is, do you have any kind of rough estimate of when this kit will be made available? If so at what price point?
ReplyDeleteThe Formlabs Form 1 currently sells for 3299 US for pre-order. It's very similar to this printer in many respects. They are also being sued by 3D Systems on claims that their printer infringes on 1 or more of their patents they still hold. Do you have any concern over that same issue with the printer you've designed?
