Hi Guys,
Really sorry for not posting anything past few weeks, I have been too busy at work.
I will provide more updates about the project + FAQ by the end of this week. Meanwhile I hope you enjoy some new pictures from jewelry.

About the Project
I have been dreaming about having a 3D Printer at home for many years, but the ones with good quality are not affordable and the low costs just deliver poor quality. Sounds crazy but I decided to build a high resolution 3D Printer by myself at home (people actually said that I was crazy and this was impossible). The funny thing I never saw this type of machines in real life, and still haven’t seen one besides the one I built.
Now that I succeed building the first prototype, the target is to bring this low cost 3D Printer to every home, so we are developing the first affordable one with high resolution.
I hope you enjoy our blog, follow us and you can have this printer in your home soon.
Junior... in case you didn't notice - we are already SOLD ! :)
ReplyDeleteI think i speak for every one asking *when can we get a kit*?
FAQ: can you go 20 microns or even less? 0.02mm - this guy managed to make it with an ULTIMAKER 3D printer using ABS plastic
http://www.thingiverse.com/derivative:14525
So when do we get the printer kit?
ReplyDeleteI want to buy one.
Great pics, can you pls tell us roughly when this great printer will be available for buy. I cant wait ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOUR WORK. Thank your very much for developing this printer and giving us hope to get affordable high quality prints!
ReplyDeleteI am a jewellery designer and I was waiting for those pictures ;-)
I can't wait to have a VELOSO on my desktop.
Best regards Coco
Nice work! Looking forward to buying a kit when it's ready :).
ReplyDeleteIt just keeps getting better.
ReplyDeletehope we could see release date soon
ReplyDeletegood job
Wow the amount of detail is amazing!! I would really like to have one of these printers at home! I'm eagerly waiting for you to post the next details! And hopefully you have an estimation on when we an build one our selves soon.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a project like this, I wouldn't go to work any more.
ReplyDeleteKeep us updated Junior. I'm ready to buy as soon as you can promise at least a 6"x6"x6" build envelope and more than 1 type of resin.
That's great! The resin layers are so thin... Incredible to have these results with a low-cost machine. Congratulations. Mattia.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI really love the project, and would like to help you to bring it further.
I can maybe help you with the cost reduction, and for sure with the external design of the machine.
Contact me : charles@crazybrainstorm.com
where to buy this printer???
ReplyDeleteWonderful ! nothing to say... !
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait .
Congrats !
Olivier
Count me in as one of the buyer! Hope you support people from another country like me (Malaysia). Cant wait for the release date!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I really want to purchase this kit. Im in the market and have looked at objet (apparently has good detail but finishing process can break small parts and the purge is pretty nasty I hear). I also looked at uprint but the rez sucks, bad stepping too. The vflash shows promise but I cant really tl what the quality is. Your printer is the best in its class so far brutha. This is on par with the projet hd 3000 (awesome quality and easy support mbaterial cleanup by just melting the wax but super high cost for the hardware itself). Pleeeeeeease give us a rough even unreliablestimate so we can sleep at night. I check this blog like a pathetic loser every night befori go to bed in hope that you have posted new pics and kit info. Cant wait. Amazing job. Keep it up man!
ReplyDeleteWhen can have a price for the Kit I am saving already the money to buy the soon is possible
ReplyDeleteAnother amazing post! I am in the middle of jewellery school and can't wait to use one of these for projects :) keep it up junior!
ReplyDeleteyes, that's awesome!! I want to have one now!! can't wait!! would you let me know how much is it?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait this good job! I want to have one now!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to have one!
ReplyDeleteHello Veloso's team ;-)
ReplyDeleteMay I ask the max. dimensions that this high-precision version of the printer can achieve? In other words, what are the measures of the parallelepiped that you can print from this basin of resin? Thanks in advance.
Mattia
I'm waiting in line for one too! You have a "hit" here!
ReplyDeleteyour work is just amazing !
ReplyDeleteif you need some nice 3D files, free 3D scan or free CNC machining, just ask :) we will do anything to make your process faster !
Cool ring
ReplyDeletewowwwwwwwwwww
ReplyDeleteis it possible to invest in your project/company?
ReplyDeleteJunior, I am very impressed by what you are doing. I am interested in both trying out your prototype and investing. Email me at carlosf@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteHI! you use a monitor or projector?
ReplyDeletethe main substance - "Loctite"?
can't wait!
ReplyDeleteWith all the delays lately I have to ask...Everything ok, Junior?
ReplyDeletewhat software are you using for your machine?
ReplyDeletecan you tell me where i could find a demo version of the software???
ReplyDeleteSo ???? what is new. I take so long time...
ReplyDeleteDoes Junior left the project???
ReplyDeleteHi Junior Veloso,
ReplyDeleteAs another greedy anxious follower wanting to get one of your kits and build something amazing from someone (You) that has done something Absolutely COOL! I have a request - Please don't sell out to a large 3D Systems corporation before you do release some of your magic kits to we the not too undeserving.
Thanks for the things you've shown - VERY EXCITING!
Warmest of Regards, Brian Stott.
Oh, have you seen what Andrea Rossi is doing to change the world with E-CAT?
I don't know if you have a list. But, I'd like you to know I sure want to be on it for your kit!
ReplyDeleteGuess, it's not going to happen........ :-( I knew it was too good to be true.
ReplyDeletehello.
ReplyDeletecan i please ask.
(1) are you working alone or with a team ?
(2) are you developing this in america or europe ?
(3) when will be the first kit release of this product ?
(4) Can you setup a proper website with forum, so people can really start getting involved in this project.
(5) How can your printer produce such high resolution modelling compared with ultimaker etc?
(6) Can you show on your blog or dedicated website more sample photos of what you can create.
I really hope to hear back from you.
I am searching for a good quality affordable 3d printer for my company curently.
thanks and best wishes.

I need one nooowwwww! I'm a master goldsmith and have a design that would have slightly different lettering on each one. I can't afford the $40k - $60k (USD) for a commercial unit. I want to get this up and running ASAP. I have customers waiting and can't keep up doing hand carving for each one. I'll be happy to test out a betta unit just to get it sooner. Please let me know how much and how soon. By the way, to the guy that mentioned the v-flash, I've checked it out and the resolution is only half as good, and if you need to burnit out, forget it, it leaves way too much ash. You would have to use a poured RTV molding material (it cracks with the stresses of a vulcanizer) and then inject wax to get something that you could cast.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeletei am new here and sorry my bad english. I have a big interest to the 3D Printer. I will help, to make it ready for sell. I can help for mechanical develop. Please let me know, you want it also.
Greetings
Jörg
Getting really tired of checking this site with zero updates for over a month. The next one should say "OK, ITS READY TO BUY!"
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeletei want to make this 3D Printer. I will help to finish this project. I can design the mechanical part. Let me know, when you has interes on my help. Sorry my bad english.
Greetings
Jörg
Keep up the nice work Junior. Please give us an update soon!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but if it works (and looks really good) because they do not sell the kit or the drawings of the project. Then you can always sell upgrades in the future as does the Mendel or RepRap. many of us are waiting for it seems the happy medium between the professional and home like RepRap, but I do not know the price when it comes out, it features dimensional stability and mechanical seal resin. Can you please give the information? Anyway thanks for what you do, you're great! regards Mark
ReplyDeleteHi! Did I miss something? Still waiting for the update. Thanks
ReplyDeleteYou should also try polyurethane modified acrylic resins
ReplyDeleteknock knock, are you still here junior ?
ReplyDeleteOr did the men in black got you ? :)
Please say us that you're alive !!!!!
Do you have any new information?
ReplyDeleteSell date?
Price?
Good Job!!!!
You're exposing the resin from the bottom side? How on Earth does that work? Um... I'll take two!
ReplyDeletePLEASE, Please update on ETA and rough idea on cost. I am setting up a RP bureau service and really need good news on cost!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan you estimate time per print? (should you print 25mm height)
Also does this material burn out reliably?
Now it's been a few weeks ... You should keep us up to date :)
ReplyDeleteJust a few words, so I can sleep well at night. LOL
considering the excellent results obtained, why not make available the current kit and are more like those of the RepRap eventually sell in the future upgrades? I can not wait! anyway, congratulations
ReplyDeleteyour hard work is very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI want to be one of the first to buy one of your machines :D
fantastic details could do~
ReplyDeleteHi Junior. Great work!!! Are you in Singapore as I have read an earlier entry in your blog saying you are. I'm working on a toy project and wondering if I can try your printer out. Do let me know if you are interested. Thanks and keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteSo...whats the deal, why no updates...someone buy you out?
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt's true that this project it's dead?
I hope no, but for our respect You should say somenthing..
Thankyou
Luca
believe the 3D "Mob" has made Junior vanish -- hope everything is OK..
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely shocked. This is amazing!!!. amazing is also the way it is built! its visually impresive too!! look at that quality!
ReplyDeleteHope this project is not absorbed by a big corp as I've seen happen with many promising apps in the 3d-cad world to just simply remove it from its way.>>>
Give us more vids! :)
It's time for new update! Please! I feed on this! xD
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this, I will buy one as soon as its available.

very good resolution. Christmas is near ... you have some good news on the release times of your 3D printer?
ReplyDeleteHi! Junior,
ReplyDeleteI am interested in purchasing your printer but don't know when you will release it. If you will have distributors in Italy or Taiwan instead of kickstarter, please do let me know. Thank you very much!!
email: miaomiaowen@gmail.com
Anything new to report? Been a while.
ReplyDeleteHi Junior
ReplyDeleteI'm also a jewelry designer and in fact i was looking for a 3D printer for that purpose, but I was not fully satisfied with the end result of the different printers, until i came across your blog and stumpled upon your pictures of the rings, and that was exactly the kind of detail I was looking for, such small details as the letters on the ring in the lower left picture.
I really hope you will succeed with this, there is a really big market out there for such printers, and not only for the people who build spare parts or even other types of printers, but also goldsmiths and people like me who would like to be able to cast high detailed jewelry at home.
I'm looking forward to see and hear more about your project..

i want one!
ReplyDeleteHi Junior!
ReplyDeleteI won't comment on the project, everything has been said by the others :)
Is it possible to have a way to contact you more directly, I can't find a contact form or email address somewhere.
Our ZBrush artists may be glad to know about your printer as soon as it is release!
Keep the good work on your awesome project!
Thomas - Pixologic, makers of ZBrush
Hello
ReplyDeleteDo you have any news for us
best regards
Well been some time we haven't heard from you I still have hopes I 'll see something soon for sale even if its just the software to start with
ReplyDeleteTake care and thank you for sharing
Awesome machine
Hey, just popped you a message via your Youtube Channel (sorry, couldn't find your email address) with a question about your printer. Cheers, Navin
ReplyDeleteWhat is the status of the project? where did the last post go?
ReplyDeleteIs this project still alive? :P
ReplyDeleteI see that you hven't posted for the past two months and I hope all is well with you. I would like to get this kit as soon as posible, and would be willing to put up some money to help finance the completion of this project to get my kit (or finished printer) sooner rather than later. Just tell me how.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I was thinking, if you made only $250(US) profit on each printer, you could probably make $175,000 the first year alone, and retire in 5 or 10 years. I'm just saying, it would well be worth your while to get this on the market.
ReplyDeleteplease write something about how strong/hard/flexible/brittle the material is.
ReplyDeleteIt's properties, like heat and water resistant ?
Thanks - keep up the great work.
Interested to know more about the material. Is it like ABS plastic? Can it be glued with a plastic cement/solvent-type glue? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi, junior!
ReplyDeleteWery cool !
What about a very simple, very small, but the working gear?
Hi Junior,
ReplyDeleteis there any progress? Any comment or a sign of live would be appreciated. =)
Looking forward having my own 3D Printer soon! :)
Regards
Are you still working on the project? When will we be able to buy the printer?
ReplyDeleteAny news ? At least describe how it differs from the others. You should drive a kickstarter to help speed things up. I look forward to hearing more about this. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi, how are you? there are news?
ReplyDeleteMERRY CHRISTMAS! Veloso
ReplyDeleteAny updates?
ReplyDeletehello pls can you give us rough estimate about availability of your printer? thanks
ReplyDeletehi,
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else who is posting i am very impressed with your work.
Can you update your FAQ's to include a dimensions for printing.
Any progress on when will be available ?
This is really great - I would like more info on where to buy or how to build, and on how we can contribute to the project in any way. I am a software developer from a range of industries, and my wife is an industrial designer (hence the pressure from her side).
ReplyDeleteDae Junior tudo bem, vc mesmo é quem montou a impressora? Bom a principio meus parabens cara! gostaria de saber quanto você cobra para fazer uma pra vender...
ReplyDeletesome news please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAny more updates on this project? I need to have some parts prototyped, and if I can do it in-house I would love to... Junior: Do you do any short runs of a product while working on your creation?
ReplyDeletewow looks good when will your printer be ready for sale i need one that could do 12x12x8
ReplyDeleteemail me when you get a chance I have some good suggestions for funding
when is your printer ready I want one ASAP
ReplyDeleteWhen is your printer ready I want one ASAP
ReplyDeleteI want that.
ReplyDeleteAny updates coming? or is the project dead?
ReplyDeleteIts been a while since I seen you have updated this blog. Do you have a idea when you will be able to release this machine? Will you accept sample STL files for testing?
ReplyDeletewow that s really nice... when it will be done and were can i buy it?
ReplyDeleteHi, somw time ago someone posted for you not to sell your project to a major 3D printer company. He explained why. His post is no longer available. Is your project up or dead?
ReplyDeletecool~~~~!! I want to~~!!
ReplyDeleteRip Junior :(
ReplyDeleteDear Junior,
ReplyDeleteNo news about you, is your project is still valid?
Or is 3Dsystems have already bought your technology ;-))))
Best regards.
I, like everyone else, am very enthused about your machine. It has been almost three months now with no indication of where you even still are going to be offering this amazing printer publicly. I don't think that you will have any problems selling your product at all with all of the interest from this blog alone. Please let us know if you are still worknig on this or if you are done. You have done a great job on this Junior, don't give up on it.
ReplyDeletehi there, junior. just wondering: are u still working on this project or is it dead? just because there aren't that much updates lately... i'm currently building a mendel prusa, but i'm very interested in your project!
ReplyDeletelet something hear from you :)! Thanks!
105 days since you updated this blog dude - is the project dead? Has something happened to you? Give us a clue. I don't want to hassle a guy that has more important things going on in his life. But if you are on it - I have money waiting for one of these!!
ReplyDeleteWhen my tax return comes back, I want one! Hope you update sometime in the next 5-7 weeks.
ReplyDeleteEven if it's to let us know you aren't dead!
This is absolutely brilliant!!! I model low to high poly 3D objects all the time, I've only recently started looking into making my designs and objects 3D. I wish you all the best and hope you come out with this soon!!!
ReplyDeletei just found this blog but there hasnt been any update in months. i think this project might be dead. :(
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! You did well to build as a drawing upwards instead of build upon layers. Also using the liquid plastic (resin?) solves the layering (resolution) problem I see in many printers.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be buying one from ya when you are ready to mass produce.
Make damn sure you patent ASAP.
I am looking forward to you next posts.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that an update can't come soon enough! I understand how everyone has a life to live outside of their internet projects, but this 3D printer is too awesome to be forgotten. Great work, hope to hear more about it soon.

ReplyDeleteNo news?. Hope everything is ok and the proyect still goes on!!
Thanks for you work!!

ReplyDeletealmost 4 months since last updates...
whats the update with the project? kickstarter? kit?
ReplyDeleteHi Junior,
ReplyDeletewe are looking forward to buy one kit from you. Can we provide you an stl file for test?
Narcisbi
no news
ReplyDeletewhen can you give us some news on your machine
thanks
Please...Let the world know the status of the project! WE ARE WAITING
ReplyDeleteHey Veloso, how´s your project going on? It's been a long time since you gave the last update.
ReplyDeleteAre you running into problems? in time, technical, or in funding? Or are you just progressing as planned and are there just no cool thing to show?
I hope it goes well because the products of your printer make all the plastic deposit printerproducts look like rubish. I'm serious, the others have a nice geek factor but to be honest the products are crude and for me they are useless.
Any updates ?
ReplyDeleteAre you alive? o.o"
ReplyDeleteHave you considered that many of us already own cnc machines, that would require little modding, rather than building from scratch?
ReplyDeleteglad you are still working on this awsome printer
ReplyDeletekeep on the good job
When I saw your twitter post come up on the blog I was very excited. It is good to hear that you are almost done. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these.
ReplyDeleteJunior, ja tem alguma versão dessa maquina para venda ?
ReplyDeleteYou are genius. We are working on the same project at my school. But we were projecting from above and submersing the item, this seems much better. Though I'm curious, how do you prevent the object from sticking to the bottom layer of glass?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're back! Can't wait for an update :)
ReplyDeleteIs there a cheap alternative to the resin-stuff (there was a question about jewlery wax in the FAQ 4 and you answered with the orderto look at the other FAQs ... maybe i am blind but i found nothing else regarding to this).
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteVery happy to hear some news from you and waiting for your new post on the blog :)))
It's been 5 months since his last new post.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't hold your breath if I were you!
thank you for sharing
ReplyDeletePretty creative stuffs Junior. Hope I will look forward to your next updates. The ring is just superbly designed. You should participate in some creative exhibitions to explore your designs.
ReplyDeleteO my goodness I love this! I haven't seen like printing Calgary like this before. How much would one spend to obtain something like this? I have all of these great ideas I would love to try! I really do love this, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I had no idea that a printer could do something like that! Thank you for sharing this info!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing this useful information about <a href="http://www.3dstuffmaker.com/>3D Printers</a>
ReplyDelete3D printing is so amazing! I have been looking into it a little bit, and I love the concept. Do they have companies that do 3D printing in Calgary? I think that would be a pretty awesome business.
ReplyDeleteAre there any updates so far or is the project cancelled total. Maybe a big company bought the idea for big money to avoid cheap 3D printers on the market?
ReplyDeleteits amazing...and stil waiting the price
ReplyDeleteAwesome ,thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteHI...
ReplyDeleteToday, i was visited many blog's but i am feeling secure for many topic my topic is 101Inks Coupon Code that's relay nice and informative blog for computer...!
