Hi Guys,

It has been a while since my last update, my apologies for that.... I have been quite busy...

Pedro is now leading the project and we have everything ready for the kit, looks impressive. I will post the details this week.

There are many comments and messages of people asking for contact details, so I decided to put our contact here in the blog. If you wish to talk to us please send an email to veloso3d@gmail.com

  10. Hi Junior, hi Pedro,

I can't wait. I am looking every day several times for your details, coming "last week".

  11. Any idea as to the cost of consumables on this long awaited device Junior. Seems this is always a matter of great consideration. Also curious about overall cost and release date as well. Big deciding factors for me...

  12. Can't wait, I've been waiting for a kit release for this machine for a long time. Good thing, I put off having some SLA parts made, this will probably be comparable in cost and I'd much rather have a machine that can make high resolution parts than just buying some high resolution parts.

    Thanks for your efforts!

  14. Hi there, Oh! so good to see that the project is alive!! So long without news!

  15. I have been watching this blog on and off for awhile. Was starting to worry that the kits were not going to happen. I, too, have been looking at 3D printers for a future buy. The UV printers are impressive for the resolution and less need of support structures.

  19. Remember Junior,
I see that you have the dream to bring a 3D printer in every home.
So you MUST make a low price.
If you mantain this point, the world is your.

  20. Great work! I'll get onto my reprap project and with any luck by the time I get around to finishing that I'll have a new toy to build!

Keep us posted, any mundane ramblings will do... Just so we know we're loved ;)

  21. Mr. Veloso,

I heard about this project last spring, and am really excited to see the next
update! When i first saw a post on MAKE last year I thought it was a spectacular
idea! As a glass worker this has limitless potential for casting, and that's
just one of the many uses I could put this thing to. Can't wait!!

...now to sell a kidney... ha!

  22. God damn it. How looooong i must wait ?!

    I wan't to buy it NOW !! :D

  23. Nice to read again your words...
Keep up your amazing project. When the global financial crisis defeat the "Golia" companies, it's time for the smaller (but smarter) little ideas to came true!
If you keep the printer affordable for everyone, I'll make a real technology revolution.
    Impatient to see more,
    Regards,
    Mattia

  24. can you sell the software or does it also have to go with the fund raiser?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Depending on pricing, I believe your fund raising should be very good with all the people interested in your project.

If you can keep up with even some small posts, that would be great.

  26. I am ready to buy a kit also. When do you think they will be available and what will be the cost. Been waiting for a long time for this. Thank you for all your hard work and persistance. - Dale

  27. When you put together your FAQ for the fun raiser project, please be sure to include this important information:
    - Noise level of the machine while running.
    - Toxicity information including handling and fumes.
    - If running in a small home apartment, is it safe and quiet?
    - material costs - example costs of parts like your skull print.
    - material availability - now and into the future.
    - machine maintenance needs.
    - support structures - details on automatic creation and removal in small areas.
    - part clean up - how much is necessary?

    Thanks for your hard work!!

  28. I would put this project on kickstarter... Please keep us updated it has been more then a week now...

  29. Hello Junior

Why do you write details come in a week an then comes nothing?
Please give us details if you have, not if you have not!
So I don't need to look after news every day ;-)

Sorry but I too can't wait till this great printer will be available to buy!

About the Project

I have been dreaming about having a 3D Printer at home for many years, but the ones with good quality are not affordable and the low costs just deliver poor quality. Sounds crazy but I decided to build a high resolution 3D Printer by myself at home (people actually said that I was crazy and this was impossible). The funny thing I never saw this type of machines in real life, and still haven’t seen one besides the one I built.

Now that I succeed building the first prototype, the target is to bring this low cost 3D Printer to every home, so we are developing the first affordable one with high resolution.

I hope you enjoy our blog, follow us and you can have this printer in your home soon.
